Service Dog Training
$600.00

Service Dog Training

Our Service Dog Training program is designed to help individuals train their own dog to become a confident, reliable, and well-mannered working companion for everyday life. We focus on practical, real-world training that prepares both handler and dog to work together safely and successfully in public settings.

Although our Service Dog Training program is affordably priced, that does not mean the training is inferior or “bargain basement.” We believe quality service dog training should be accessible without excessive costs. We encourage anyone interested in the program to observe a class or one-on-one training session, when appropriate, so they can make an informed decision based on what they personally see and experience.

We believe in honesty, transparency, and realistic expectations. We do not claim to train dogs for conditions or specialized tasks outside our scope of training. Our primary areas of focus include:

  • PTSD

  • Anxiety

  • Autism

  • Depression

  • Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

  • Mobility Assistance

While we do not specialize in seizure alert, diabetic alert, or certain highly specialized medical alert work, many dogs naturally begin responding to or alerting their owners to those conditions. In those cases, we can help develop the obedience, public access, socialization, and handling skills necessary for the dog to safely accompany their handler in public environments.

Training focuses heavily on:

  • Public access manners

  • Reliable obedience

  • Socialization in real-world settings

  • Loose leash walking

  • Ignoring distractions

  • Calm behavior in stores, restaurants, and public spaces

  • Confidence building for both dog and handler

  • Task work based on individual needs and abilities

Upon completion of the program, teams will complete a Public Access Test (PAT) to evaluate the dog’s behavior, control, and readiness in public situations.

There is no rigid timeline or pressure-based graduation process. You decide when you and your dog feel comfortable and confident working independently as a team. Our goal is to support your long-term success, not rush the process.

We also offer lifelong support for service dog related training issues. If problems arise later, we are available to help guide and support you and your dog.

Puppies can begin foundational training as early as 8 weeks old, and we do not place breed restrictions on service dog candidates.

We are proud to have many satisfied clients and well-mannered service dogs successfully working in everyday life situations, and references are available upon request.

Agility Dog Training
from $45.00

Dog Agility Training

Dog agility is one of the most exciting and rewarding activities you can do with your dog. Our agility classes are designed to be fun, engaging, and confidence-building for both dogs and their owners. At this time, our focus is not on creating agility champions, although that can certainly happen for those who decide to pursue the sport further. Our primary goal is to provide a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience where dogs and handlers can learn and grow together.

Safety is always our number one priority as we introduce dogs and owners to the fundamentals of agility. Every team starts at the beginning by learning proper handling skills, communication, body positioning, and basic obstacle introduction before progressing to more advanced equipment and course work.

Agility is not something mastered in just a few classes. Dogs that compete at advanced levels have often spent years practicing and refining their skills. Our classes are designed to build confidence, teamwork, focus, coordination, and trust while allowing dogs to burn energy in a productive and mentally stimulating way.

Puppies and adult dogs alike can participate, and no prior agility experience is necessary.

Purrfect Pooches features regulation-size agility equipment, and we are continually expanding and improving our course offerings. Current equipment includes:

  • Pause Table

  • Full Size Dog Walk

  • Teeter / Seesaw

  • A-Frame

  • Tire Jump

  • Two 18-Foot Tunnels

  • Closed Chute

  • Weave Poles

  • Miscellaneous jumps and beginner agility elements

One of the best things about agility is that practice can continue at home using creativity and everyday household items. A couple of laundry baskets, cones, buckets, or a broomstick can become beginner jumps or obstacles. Once you start learning agility, you begin seeing potential training opportunities everywhere.

Whether your goal is simply to have fun, strengthen your bond with your dog, improve confidence, or eventually explore competition, agility is an incredible activity that challenges both the mind and body while creating lasting memories together.
